Material Handler (Material Mixer) - Manufacturing Support
Pay rate: $16 - $18 (based on experience)
2nd shift, Monday to Friday 3 PM- 11:00 PM + OT
The job location is in Elgin, IL 60124
Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Material Handler (Material Mixer) to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in supporting our foreman and production by managing material requirements efficiently. As a Material Handler, you will contribute to the success of our operations by ensuring the seamless flow of materials, maintaining high-quality standards, and promoting a safe working environment.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with inspector packers to transport approved products and supplies
- Operate grinding equipment to process materials
- Complete accurate documentation related to materials
- Adhere to and maintain High-Performance Culture (HPC) standards
- Ensure strict compliance with safety policies
- Undertake various projects and responsibilities as assigned
Daily Tasks:
- Stage materials for injection molding machines
- Locate and stage packaging for materials at the end of production runs
- Perform cleaning duties for grinders, dryers, hoppers, loaders, presses, cleaning rooms, and filters
- Mix materials, specifically resin, following established procedures
- Engage in daily improvement initiatives
- Attend scheduled meetings, including shift meetings (2xs), plant meetings, huddles, and book club sessions
Education/Qualifications/Skills:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Basic math skills
- Self-motivated with a hands-on approach
- Ability to lift at least 55 lbs.
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is a plus
- Successful completion of a physical examination, drug screening, and participation in E-Verify
- One year of experience in warehouse general labor operations, and/or light industrial manufacturing industries is preferred.
- experience in operating forklifts is required.

Physical Requirements: Ability to work continuously in a fast-paced warehouse environment. Frequent: bending, stooping, crouching, lifting, walking, standing, climbing, pushing/pulling. Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds.
